Fulham Carpet Cleaning Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Fulham Carpet Cleaning provides professional carpet, rug, upholstery and related cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By booking or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which form a legally binding agreement between you and Fulham Carpet Cleaning.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Customer means the individual or business who requests and receives cleaning services from Fulham Carpet Cleaning.

Services means any carpet cleaning, rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain treatment, end of tenancy cleaning related to floor coverings, or any other cleaning services provided by Fulham Carpet Cleaning as agreed with the Customer.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract between Fulham Carpet Cleaning and the Customer incorporating these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

Fulham Carpet Cleaning provides professional cleaning services for carpets, rugs, upholstery, and related surfaces at residential and commercial premises within its service area. The exact scope of work for each booking, including the areas to be cleaned, the type of surfaces and any additional treatments, will be agreed with the Customer at the time of booking and confirmed by Fulham Carpet Cleaning.

Any changes to the scope of Services requested on the day of service are subject to availability, feasibility and may incur additional charges. Fulham Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to refuse any additional work that cannot be safely or reasonably carried out.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Customers may request a booking by contacting Fulham Carpet Cleaning through the available communication channels described on the company website or marketing materials.

3.2 When making a booking, the Customer must provide accurate information about the Premises, including the type and approximate size of the areas to be cleaned, the condition of the carpets or upholstery, access information, and any known issues such as heavy soiling, stains, pet odours, infestation or damage.

3.3 Fulham Carpet Cleaning may offer an estimated quote based on the information provided by the Customer. This quote may be subject to revision following inspection of the Premises prior to commencing work, especially where the condition, size or access differs from the information provided.

3.4 Bookings are not confirmed until Fulham Carpet Cleaning has issued a confirmation, which may be in writing or verbal, and, where applicable, any required deposit has been received.

3.5 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the booking details, including date, time, address and requested Services, are correct. Any errors should be reported to Fulham Carpet Cleaning as soon as possible.

4. Access and Customer Responsibilities

4.1 The Customer must ensure that Fulham Carpet Cleaning and its operatives have safe and uninterrupted access to the Premises at the agreed date and time. This includes suitable parking or loading access where reasonably possible.

4.2 The Customer must ensure that the Premises are in a condition that allows the Services to be carried out safely and efficiently. This may include removing small furniture, valuables, fragile items, and any personal belongings from the areas to be cleaned unless otherwise agreed.

4.3 The Customer is responsible for notifying Fulham Carpet Cleaning in advance of any risks, hazards or special requirements at the Premises, including but not limited to alarm systems, restricted access, pets, or delicate materials.

4.4 If Fulham Carpet Cleaning is unable to gain access to the Premises at the scheduled time, or if the Premises are not prepared to allow the Services to proceed, this may be treated as a late cancellation and a fee may be charged in accordance with the cancellation provisions below.

5. Prices, Estimates and Quotes

5.1 All prices are provided in pounds sterling and are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless expressly stated otherwise.

5.2 Any price given before inspection of the Premises is an estimate based on the information supplied by the Customer. Fulham Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to amend the price after inspection where additional work is required, the size of the area differs significantly, or the level of soiling is more extensive than described.

5.3 Where possible, Fulham Carpet Cleaning will agree a fixed price with the Customer before commencing work. Any variation to the agreed Services may result in additional charges, which will be communicated to the Customer for approval.

6. Payments

6.1 Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. Fulham Carpet Cleaning may require full payment or a deposit in advance, particularly for larger jobs, end of tenancy work, or commercial contracts.

6.2 Where payment is due on completion, the Customer must make payment in full immediately after the Services are completed unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing in advance.

6.3 Accepted payment methods will be specified by Fulham Carpet Cleaning. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that funds are available and that the chosen payment method is valid at the time payment is due.

6.4 For commercial Customers, Fulham Carpet Cleaning may, at its discretion, issue invoices with agreed credit terms. All invoices must be paid in full by the due date stated on the invoice.

6.5 Fulham Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to charge interest on any overdue amounts at the statutory rate allowed under applicable UK law, accruing on a daily basis until payment is made in full.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

7.1 The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice to Fulham Carpet Cleaning. The minimum notice period and any applicable cancellation charges will be explained at the time of booking and may vary depending on the type and scale of the Services.

7.2 Where the Customer cancels with short notice, or fails to provide access at the scheduled time, Fulham Carpet Cleaning may charge a cancellation fee to cover allocated time, travel, and administrative costs.

7.3 Fulham Carpet Cleaning will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate requests for rescheduling and to agree a new appointment time. Rescheduling with insufficient notice may be treated as a cancellation and may incur a fee.

7.4 In rare circumstances, Fulham Carpet Cleaning may need to cancel or postpone a booking due to unforeseen events, staff illness, extreme weather, equipment failure or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, Fulham Carpet Cleaning will notify the Customer as soon as practicable and will offer to reschedule the Services at the earliest mutually convenient time. Fulham Carpet Cleaning will not be liable for any indirect loss or costs arising from such cancellation.

8. Service Standards and Limitations

8.1 Fulham Carpet Cleaning will carry out the Services with reasonable care and skill, using appropriate equipment, products and techniques for professional carpet and upholstery cleaning.

8.2 While Fulham Carpet Cleaning will use its expertise to achieve the best possible results, the Customer acknowledges that success in removing stains, odours and marks depends on various factors, including the age and type of stain, the material, previous cleaning attempts and general condition. For this reason, Fulham Carpet Cleaning cannot guarantee the removal of all stains or odours.

8.3 The Customer is responsible for informing Fulham Carpet Cleaning of any existing damage, wear, colour fading, loose fibres, or known issues with carpets, rugs or upholstery prior to cleaning. Fulham Carpet Cleaning will not be responsible for any damage that results from pre-existing conditions, inherent defects, or manufacturer limitations.

8.4 Where appropriate, Fulham Carpet Cleaning may conduct a patch test on a small, inconspicuous area prior to undertaking full cleaning. If the test indicates that cleaning could cause damage or unacceptable changes, Fulham Carpet Cleaning may decline to proceed with some or all of the Services and will inform the Customer.

9. Customer Satisfaction and Complaints

9.1 The Customer should inspect the work carried out as soon as reasonably practicable after completion. Any concerns or issues should be raised with Fulham Carpet Cleaning promptly and, where possible, while the operatives are still on site.

9.2 If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, Fulham Carpet Cleaning will investigate the matter. Where a complaint is justified and relates directly to the quality of the cleaning work, Fulham Carpet Cleaning may, at its discretion, offer to re-clean the affected area or provide an appropriate partial refund.

9.3 Complaints relating to the quality of the Services should be reported within a reasonable period, typically no later than 48 hours after the work is completed, to allow Fulham Carpet Cleaning to assess the condition before normal wear and use take place.

10. Liability

10.1 Fulham Carpet Cleaning will be responsible for any direct loss or damage to the Customer's property caused by its negligence, up to a reasonable amount and subject to the limitations set out in this clause.

10.2 Fulham Carpet Cleaning will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, loss of business opportunity, or any inconvenience suffered by the Customer arising out of or in connection with the Services.

10.3 Fulham Carpet Cleaning's total liability to the Customer in respect of any claim or series of connected claims arising from the provision of the Services shall not exceed the total amount paid or payable by the Customer for the specific Services giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

10.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes Fulham Carpet Cleaning's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

11. Waste Handling and Environmental Responsibilities

11.1 Fulham Carpet Cleaning is committed to operating in compliance with applicable UK waste management and environmental regulations. Any waste water, used cleaning solutions and extracted residues generated during the cleaning process will be handled in a responsible manner consistent with legal requirements.

11.2 Where practicable, waste water will be discharged via appropriate drainage systems at the Premises, in accordance with local requirements. The Customer agrees to allow reasonable access to suitable drains or facilities for this purpose.

11.3 Fulham Carpet Cleaning does not remove or transport large quantities of solid waste, carpets, underlay, furniture or household rubbish as part of standard cleaning Services. Where the removal of such items is requested, this may be quoted separately and will be carried out in conformity with applicable waste carriage and disposal rules, where Fulham Carpet Cleaning agrees to provide such service.

11.4 The Customer agrees not to request or require Fulham Carpet Cleaning to dispose of waste or materials in any unlawful manner. Fulham Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to decline any request that would contravene environmental or waste regulations.

12. Health and Safety

12.1 Fulham Carpet Cleaning operates in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and adopts procedures to protect its staff, Customers and the public while carrying out Services.

12.2 The Customer agrees to provide a safe working environment and to inform Fulham Carpet Cleaning of any health and safety risks at the Premises, including loose floor coverings, exposed wiring, hazardous substances, or other dangers.

12.3 Children, pets and other occupants should be kept away from the immediate areas being cleaned and from equipment and cables while work is in progress and until surfaces are fully dry and safe to use.

13. Data Protection and Privacy

13.1 Fulham Carpet Cleaning may collect and process personal data relating to Customers, including name, address, contact details and information necessary to arrange and perform the Services.

13.2 Any personal data will be used only for the purposes of providing Services, managing bookings, handling payments, dealing with queries and complying with legal obligations. Fulham Carpet Cleaning will take reasonable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

14. Force Majeure

14.1 Fulham Carpet Cleaning will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power failures, transport disruptions, industrial disputes, or government restrictions.

14.2 In such circumstances, Fulham Carpet Cleaning will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably practicable and will endeavour to reschedule the Services once the situation permits.

15. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

15.1 Fulham Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, business practices or service offerings.

15.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of the Customer's booking will apply to that booking, unless a change is required by law or is agreed with the Customer.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

16.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with the provision of Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

16.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided by Fulham Carpet Cleaning.

17. General Provisions

17.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17.2 No failure or delay by Fulham Carpet Cleaning in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any such right or remedy preclude any other or further exercise of it.

17.3 The Agreement formed under these Terms and Conditions is between Fulham Carpet Cleaning and the Customer. No person other than a party to the Agreement shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

By booking or using the Services of Fulham Carpet Cleaning, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
